Apres Diems Hosts the 2010 Senior AASD Educational Trip to DC Fundraising






Apres Diem along Monroe Drive, Atlanta, Georgia will host the 2010 Atlanta Area School For The Deaf Educational Trip to Washington, D.C. Fundraising Dinner, Sunday, May 16, 2010, from 5:30 pm - 8:30 p.m.


Apres Diem will donate 20% of all the proceeds from food and beverages. It will also raffle off a $50.00 gift certificate at $5.00 per tickets, and all the proceeds will go to the AASD Senior Class.








About Apres Diem





Apres Diem has been around since 2000. It opened after the closing of the beloved Cafe Diem on the North Highland. A French and Latin play on words meaning "After the Day" or "after Cafe Diem". Bistro with local art, fresh European style. Prices are reasonable and the desserts are delicious. Apres Diem is being managed by Shannon Kelley and the Restaurant Chef is Ciro Ramos.



About the 2010 Ssenior Educational Trip to Washington, D.C. May 17- 21, 2010.



It is an annual trip to Gallaudet University and to Washington D.C. by the seniors of the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf . Proven to be a truly eye-opening experience. A chance to be exposed to deaf culture at Gallaudet Univeristy and to be immersed into bigger Deaf community for just a few days will be life changing for the seniors.

This year, while in Washington D.C. , the seniors will get the opportunity to visit the Supreme Court and the United States Capitol Building (May 18th), NBC News Washington Bureau (May 19th) and highlight of the trip is a tour of the White House (May 20th), as well as see other famous points of interests in and around the Washington D.C. area. It will be their ultimate experience!

2010 Atlanta Area School Seniors Goes to Washington, D.C.

For the third year in a row, our AASD seniors have plans of making an educational trip to visit Washington, D.C. Our seniors are seeking any/all sponsors willing to support them in making their 12th grade educational trip possible.
The planned dates for the trip are from May 17 - 21, 2010.
For our seniors, the trip to Gallaudet University and to Washington D.C. will be a truly eye-opening experience. The chance to be exposed to deaf culture at Gallaudet University and to be immersed into a bigger Deaf community for a just few days will be a life changing for them.
While in Washington, D.C. the studdents will get the opportunity to visit the United States Capitol (May 18), NBC News Washington Bureau (May 19) and a tour of the White House (May 20), as well as see other famous points of interests in and around the State Capital.
It will be be their ultimate experience!


In exchange for your generosity, each student will send you a personalized Thank You card. AASD will also make acknowledgments in the school magazine that will be published this fall, and acknowledgement on the school's website.

Donations are tax deductible under IRS code 170-A. If you make a donation, however big or small, please ensure that your address is on the check or is included in the envelope so we can send you a donation receipt. Checks should be made out to the Georgia Department of Education.
